An obligatory visit to the north and the heart of Portugal. Visit two cities in Minho: our first capital – Guimarães – known for being the Cradle of the Nation. Alcobaça Monastery – Founded in the 12th century by King Afonso Henriques, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nazaré – A fishing village now known worldwide for its giant waves, which delight the most passionate surfers. Rich in traditions, especially linked to fishing, it has a natural environment that is well worth a visit.
